January California Visit Part III

On Monday the 28th we started our 24 hour journey home.  We left my parents house at 8:30 and arrived at the airport by 9 to check in and get our seats.  The plane sat us in 3 different seats again and we were told to "sort it out yourselves".  Thankfully, I was able to get 2 men to switch spots with Briss and I.  It was a big deal because the 2 men were giving up their aisle and window seats for middle seats so that us Miller family could sit in a row together.  So I was very grateful to them because the flight was 5.5 hours long and we needed some sleep.  Kaellyn was great during that flight.

When we landed in Philadelphia we found out our flight was 2 hours delayed.  We got some dinner and then waited around.  Kaellyn complained that her "tummy hurt" so I walked over to the bathroom where she just barely made it to the toilet and threw up.  She hadn't eaten that much that day so there wasn't much in her system.  I don't know if she had some delayed air sickness or what.  But she passed out on my shoulder and slept while we waited to see what was going on with the plane.  At 10:30 pm (the time we were supposed to arrive in Erie) we were told the flight was cancelled.  We were given a new flight of 9:20 the next day and we got a hotel.  However, the shuttle took an hour to pick us up and we were all exhausted.  Our midnight dinner consisted of vending machine snacks of poptarts and candy.  Then we all passed out at midnight.

Goodbye California Sun

Tuesday Morning we arrived at the airport and found the flight was delayed 60 minutes.  But it wasn't cancelled and we got to Erie around 12:30.  It was cold and rainy but we were home!  Briss was supposed to go to work at noon but since he missed that he was told to have the rest of the day off.  So we spent the rest of the day napping and relaxing.  It was good to be home!
